Bob Stevens has been practicing in the family courts for more than 40 years. His practice is exclusively in the area of matrimonial law and family law. As a seasoned divorce attorney in Hilton Head, Bob helps clients with uncontested separation and divorce matters as well as the division and distribution of assets involving complex or difficult financial issues (including interests in family or closely-held businesses or professional practices, such as medical, dental or legal practices), custodial and visitation disputes and establishing or modifying alimony or support, as well as mediation and arbitration of these types of matters.
Since receiving his J.D. from Syracuse University, Bob has been admitted to both the South Carolina and the New York State Bars. Bob has been a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers since 1993 and served as the President of the South Carolina Chapter from 2016-2018. Bob currently serves as the Southern Carolina Delegate to the National Board of Governors.
Bob’s family has been living in the Low Country since the early 1970’s. He and his immediate family moved here permanently in the mid 1990’s.
Bob is also on the Board of Directors of the Hilton Head Island Recreation Association and is a Past-President of the Board of Directors. The Hilton Head Island Recreation Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for area residents of all ages, producing, providing and coordinating public recreation programs, activities and community events for all ages.
